Ashley began dancing at the age of four. She furthered her career by earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her past teaching experiences include, Academy of Dance in Reidsville, North Carolina, Reidsville Middle School in Reidsville, North Carolina, Tripp Lake Camp in Poland Springs, Maine, Imagine Art Studio in Ocracoke, North Carolina, and Weaver Education Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. Teaching at Academy of Dance for the past 16 years, she has held the position of director/owner for the last ten. Her responsibilities at Reidsville Middle School the past seven years have not only included teaching, but also coach of the RMS dance team. As one of the choreographers for the Rockingham County Theatre Guild, Ashley has trained actors in dance numbers for productions such as “Annie”, “West Side Story”, and “Grease”. Lending her expertise to Rockingham County High School Chorus and Rockingham County All County Chorus, she has choreographed past and preset programs. Ashley enjoys sharing her love of dance with children of all ages.

Christy began dancing at the age of six with Rockingham County Academy of Dance. She obtained her Bachelor of Art Degree in Dance from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. First under the instruction of, then teaching with Ashley Daniel, she has been a member of the Academy of Dance staff for ten years. She has two children, Jessie and Mason, who share her love of dance and are students at the Academy.
