Tuesday, May 17 at 5:00- Technical Rehearsal Act I Wednesday, May 18 at 5:00- Technical Rehearsal Act II Held in the RHS auditorium. Come dressed in dance clothes (leotard, tights), with hair pulled back neatly. Sit in designated row with class and parent. Ballet Company should wear black leotard and pink tights, competition should wear their uniform. **Younger dancers in creative movement through first grade are only in Act I and do not need to come to the Tech Rehearsal for Act II on Wednesday. Dancers may leave as soon as they finish their last dance or the finale. Technical rehearsals are mandatory in order to participate in the show. Thursday, May 19 at 4:30- Dress Rehearsal- entire show Held in the RHS auditorium. Come dressed in your first costume, with hair in a bun and stage make up on (eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, blush, powder, and dark lipstick- be sure that make up is dark, the stage lights will wash out the dancer’s faces). Sit in designated row with class and parent. The lobby restrooms will be open for dancers to change in. The older dancers with several numbers will be able to dress in the Chorus room. We will practice the finale during intermission. Dancers may leave as soon as they are finished with their last dance. Dress rehearsal is mandatory in order to participate in the recital. Saturday, May 21 ***RECITAL*** Show starts at 4:00 dancers are to be in their assigned dressing rooms by 3:00. Come dressed in your first costume with hair in a slick bun, and stage make up on. There will be backstage helpers assigned to each dressing room to help the dancers with costume changes. This allows the parents to sit in the audience and enjoy the show. If you need to come backstage, please be considerate of those around you and do not get up in the middle of a dance- wait until the end so as not to disrupt the show or the videotaping of the recital. Only mothers/ female guardians are allowed in the dressing rooms (no males or friends backstage). Please be on time and cooperate with backstage helpers. Younger dancers (pre-school, kindergarten, and first grade) should be picked up after their last dance is completed. If they are going into the audience to watch the show, they will need to change out of their costumes. Costumes are not allowed in the audience during the actual recital. Dancers taking jazz in the 2nd grade and older will be required to stay in their dressing rooms until the end of the show to be in the finale.
