For the next four months dancers will begin preparing for our annual recital entitled "Shop Till You Drop". The recital will be held at the Reidsville Senior High School auditorium on Friday, May 12. There will be two mandatory rehearsals at the high school as well. Technical rehearsal will be on Tuesday, May 9, and Dress rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, May 10. Dancers must attend both rehearsals to participate in the recital. Often times, May gets hectic with athletic games, school field trips, concerts and award banquets. The auditorum has been rented for these dates for a year and cannot be changed. Please plan ahead by letting teachers, coaches, etc. know that you have plans on these dates.

It is also very important that dancers attend all of their dance classes from now until recital. If a dancer has to miss due to illness, etc, they should get with another student from their class to go over what was taught. In order to get the most out of their dance classes, it is very important for dancers to be dressed appropriately for class. Leotard and tights are appropriate. No pants for ballet please (skirts are fine) and no baggy clothing. All hair should be pulled back out of the dancers face. Dancers should also be wearing the appropriate shoes for each class. Pink ballet shoes for ballet, black jazz boots for jazz, and black tap shoes for tap. Parents, please encourage your dancers to practice at home. Anyone wanting a copy of their recital music can send a blank tape to the studio for recording.

There is alot of traffic coming in and out of the dance studio. Please remember to wear only dance shoes in the dance room. No drinks or food are allowed in the dance room. Dancers should not be chewing gum in class. Please use the restroom before class begins.

Dance pictures are scheduled for April 7th and 8th. Competition pictures will be on Friday, April 7th. Individual dance pictures will be Saturday, April 8th. More information on pictures will be sent out a later time.
